Water and me go back a long time. Since I was a child, I’ve always loved the sea, been drawn to her power and grace. But it has only been in the last few years that I’ve realised and appreciated the healing properties of the seas. From moving closer to the sea about 8 years ago and subsequently taking up wild swimming just a couple of years ago, I have been able to deepen my relationship with the sea and I’ve been able to witness her form and presence all year around. And I’m always in awe of her; her beauty, rhythm and constancy.

I never tire of the seas. She’s my fix for every good and bad emotion. We are one. And because of this connection, I always have to return never tiring of feeling her caress upon any part of my body. I become whole when we are together. This project is always flowing in the background of every thing that I do. It’s a constant just like the seas, coming and going like the waves, sometimes more urgent, other times a calming presence, like a ripple.
But be sure, I will always return to this project, always return to the seas. It’s in my nature.
